POCONO GREYHOUND ADOPTION

ANNUAL PICNIC

SUNDAY, MAY 20   1 PM TO 5PM

Pocono Township Fire Hall

Route 611, Tannersville

 

We hope you saved the day on your calendar.  Bring your lunch if you like, we will supply soda, water and dessert.   There will be some tables and chairs but bring a lawn chair for comfort and blankets for the hounds.  There will be vendors, raffles, games, and lots of goodies for greyhounds and greyhound people.

Pocono Greyhound Adoption will also be hosting a table with lots of greyt goodies,  including collars, leashes, harnesses, people items like greyhound tshirts and so much more.

 

Greyhounds are welcome, no matter where they were adopted. As long as they are greyhounds.  This is a greyhound picnic and we appreciate the focus on the greyhounds.

 

Prospective adopters & greyhound lovers are welcome to visit as well. The available foster hounds will be there hoping to find their forever homes. There will be games, vendors, prizes, raffles, and more. ..

 


 

We are an all volunteer greyhound adoption group whose mission is to provide education to 

the public about retired racing greyhounds, their desirability as pets, the availability of these 
dogs for adoption, raise funds for this and the purpose of providing for the welfare of retired 
racing greyhounds by assisting in their placement in suitable homes and giving ongoing 
support to the greyhound and its new family.

Our Adoption Fee is $240. This now includes a copy of the required reading: Retired Racing Greyhounds for Dummies by Lee Livingood. If you already have acquired a copy of this or Adopting the Racing Greyhound by Cynthia Branigan the fee will be $225.

This Includes:

Spaying or Neutering
All up-to-date immunizations
All available veterinarian records
Dental
Worming
Heartworm test - Up to Date on Heartgard and Frontline
Pedigree documentation if available
Greyhound collar and lead
Greyhound muzzle
PGA Identification Tag and Number
A Copy of Retired Racing Greyhounds for Dummies

organization under the Federal IRS 501c3.   Contributions to PGA are tax deductible
